On February 21st, GlobalGAP has published a new version of the protocol GlobalGAP v5.3, mandatory as of May 21, 2020, in order to maintain GFSI v7.2 recognition.
As a result of this version change, GlobalGAP has modified and published the following normative documents:
- General Regulations Part I, v5.3
- General Regulations Part II, v5.3
- General Regulations Part III, v5.3
- General Regulations Crops Rules, v5.3
- QMS Checklist, v5.3
In this new version, no changes have been made to any of the requirements of the PCCCs for modules AF, CB, and FV. Only one new requirement has been added to the Quality Management System (QMS) checklist for options 2 and options 1 with QMS: It must be conduct a management review annually, as well as modifications to the rules for selecting producers to be audited in the case of high-risk products: Modification of the square root rule For producers or handling centers with hazardous products (the 100% form for producers/handling centers with hazardous products must be audited annually, and the square root rule will not apply in these cases). Another change to consider will be initial training of inspectors/auditors of CB before the signature (GR III, Annex III 1 and 2, 3.4 d)). .
