WHAT IS AN ELECTRO-INTENSIVE CONSUMER?
To obtain the condition of energy-intensive consumer, The company's annual energy consumption must have been greater than 1 GWh during two of the three previous years and consumption during off-peak hours must be at least 50% of the total energy consumed.
WHO IS THIS GRANT FOR?
Private companies that own a supply point or facility, whatever their legal form, and that meet the following requirements:
- Be validly constituted in accordance with the regulations in force at the time of submitting the application.
- To be in possession of certificate of energy-intensive consumer.
- Carry out in each of the facilities or supply points for which the subsidy is requested one or more activities in the sectors listed in Annex I of this order under the CNAE codes specified therein.
- To prove having borne the charges in the prices of the electricity supply corresponding to the year 2022.
Furthermore, it is required have an Energy Management System that is audited and certified according to the standard ISO 50001:2018, having a deadline of up to two years to obtain it from the application for this aid.
ISO 50001:2018 AND ELECTRO-INTENSIVE INDUSTRY GRANTS
One of the requirements to apply for this aid is to have an energy management system, that is, to hold the ISO 50001:2018 certificate. This standard, ISO 50001:2018 "Energy Management System", aims to allow organizations to establish procedures for improving and increasing the efficiency of energy performance in their activities.
